Pay for your own Lunch. Join me for a trip to Highlands for lunch by way of the back exit from Fontana, through Robbinsville, down Wayah Rd., through Franklin, to Dry Falls for a short stop, then on to Highlands for lunch on your own. Return via Moonshine 28, stop at Soda Pop's in Bryson City then return to Fontana via Hellbender.
Dry Falls are 80 foot high falls that explode as a free-falling wall of water down to a rocky gorge below. You can actually walk behind them and stay relatively dry.
