Pay for your own lunch. Thanks for joining me on this fun drive on the Hellbender and Moonshiner 28 for a fabulous lunch at Root and Barrel Kitchen & Bar in Franklin, NC. Root and Barrel is located on a traditional small town America main street and menu consists of a twist on modern southern cuisine. This will be a spirited drive and we will depart from the General Store at Fontana Village at 11:30 AM. Please bring radios tuned to channel 7 and sub-channel 21 so we can communicate. Motoring time to Root and Barrel is approximately 1.5 hours.

Times are approximate and we will make changes on-the-fly as needed. We have a reservation at Root and Barrel, and there is ample parking in a large lot behind there establishment that will allow easy entering and exiting for our group. We are intentionally arriving late to avoid some of the lunch rush.

We will practice MINI Ohana on this trip (Ohana means family, and family means no one gets left behind or forgotten). Should you decide to stay in Franklin or go elsewhere after lunch, please let me know so I will not be looking for you for our return trip to Fontana.
